1992 builder-grade concentration failure
Most of this town went up around 1992, a full generation newer than the 1949-1993 range that covers the rest of our coverage area. That means fewer of the ancient chain-drive units with exposed pull-cord emergency releases and worn-out capacitors we pull out of older neighborhoods, and more openers that are simply thirty-plus years old and finally quitting on their own schedule - worn drive gears, tired logic boards, a motor that hums but won't lift.
